What is OzoneOn?

+

OzoneOn is an ozonated water system created by Cashido for homes and businesses. When installed, OzoneOn creates ozonated water that flows directly from your faucet or shower. Simply turn on your faucet and enjoy the benefits of ozonated water for cleaning your produce, hands, dishes, sinks and other household items or surfaces.

What can I wash with OzoneOn?

+

Use OzoneOn for cleaning around your home or business. A 10-second rinse is all you need to kill 99 percent of bacteria* and reduce pesticides.

Here are just a few ways you can use the power of ozone around your home:

  1. Wash fruits and vegetables – remove pesticides and kill bacteria* that causes spoilage; produce washed with OzoneOn lasts 2–3 times longer, reduce wasted food
  2. Rinse meat, seafood and poultry - kill bacteria such as E. coli and salmonella*
  3. Wash rags and sponges – eliminate odor-causing bacteria* and mildew
  4. Sanitize cutting boards - eliminate odor and kill bacteria*
  5. Clean sinks and drains – sanitize your sink and prevent foul odor build up
  6. Clean your home – mop the floor, clean windows, wipe tables and counters
  7. Clean baby items – sanitize bottles and wash children’s toys
  8. Wash pets – eliminate odor for up to two weeks
  9. Personal hygiene – wash your face and hands or brush your teeth with ozonated water

OzoneOn delivers endless potential!

Most ozone generators need 20 minutes to clean food. Why can OzoneOn sanitize in 10 seconds?

+

Cashido’s OzoneOn is the world's first sanitizer that instantly creates ozonated water for household use. It puts more ozone into water with less ozone escaping into the air, which keeps OzoneOn safe and effective. OzoneOn is also easier to use because it’s installed directly on your faucet, unlike traditional “bubblers” which require you to move a heavy machine each time.

How does ozonated water reduce pesticides?

+

Pesticides are used in agriculture to protect crops from insects, fungi, weeds and other pests. According to the World Health Organization, pesticides are potentially toxic to humans and may cause adverse health issues including cancer, effects on reproduction, immune or nervous systems

Ozone breaks down the structure of pesticides and damages the carbon chain bond. Test results show that rinsing foods for 10 seconds with OzoneOn reduces pesticides.

How does ozonated water keep food fresh?

+

Fresh fruits and vegetables may contain microorganisms on their surface such as bacteria, yeast and molds, which can speed the process of rotting and spoilage. Ozone oxidizes and destroys these microorganisms, which allow fruits and vegetables to stay fresh longer.

Why does my skin feel soft after washing with ozone?

+

Ozone kills bacteria* on your skin. Washing your hands and face with ozone will leave your skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

Why can ozonated water remove odors?

+

Odors are caused by bacteria and mold, which are made of molecules. Ozone oxidizes these odor-causing molecules on contact, breaking down their structure and removing the odor. This is especially evident after using ozonated water for washing your hands after touching garlic, soaking your feet, brushing your teeth, washing pets, cleaning rags and washing socks.

Is ozone safe for use on food?

+

Yes. Ozone was given a Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) approval rating by the FDA in 2001. The USDA followed with a final ruling granting GRAS approval for ozone in 2002.

What does ozonated water smell like?

+

Some people describe the smell of ozone as similar to freshly cut grass or the scent in the air after a heavy rainfall. When using OzoneOn for the first time, you will likely be able to smell the ozone as soon as you turn your faucet on. After OzoneOn has processed 300 gallons of water, the ozone production will stabilize and the ozone smell will not be as evident, though your OzoneOn will still maintain its antibacterial effects.

How do I know the machine is working?

+

An indicator light on the machine turns on when ozone is being generated. You will also smell the ozone when your faucet is turned on. Cashido offers a test liquid that can be used to detect ozone in water.

Can I directly drink ozonated water?

+

Cashido does not recommend drinking ozonated water. You can let ozonated water sit in a pitcher or cup for five minutes before drinking, which will allow the ozone to kill any bacteria in the water and dissipate. Alternatively, boil ozonated water to remove the ozone before drinking.

Can I use ozonated water for cooking?

+

Ozone dissipates quickly at high temperatures, so you can use it for boiling, steaming, stir-frying and general cooking. Ozonated water will not affect the flavor of your food.

Can I use OzoneOn with hot water?

+

Yes. As a general rule, as long as the water won’t burn you, it’s safe to use OzoneOn.

Is ozonated water safe for newborn babies?

+

Generally speaking, ozonated water is not suitable for babies or people with sensitive skin. Consult your medical provider before using ozonated water on your skin. If redness or itchiness develop, stop using OzoneOn on your skin.

Can I use ozonated water to wash baby bottles and utensils?

+

Yes! Using ozonated water to clean baby bottles and feeding utensils helps kill bacteria and prevent its growth in warm, moist, difficult to clean environments.

Is ozone dangerous?

+

Like many things, ozone must be used in moderate amounts. Many countries pass laws limiting the amount of ozone that can be released into the air. The OSHA's tolerance level is 0.05 ppm. OzoneOn has been proven by SGS test results to release less than 0.01 ppm, well under the legal limit. Furthermore, OzoneOn includes an auto shut-off feature that will turn off the system after ten minutes of inactivity, which further reduces the amount of ozone released.

Does OzoneOn meet safety standards?

+

Yes! OzoneOn’s ozone spillover density was tested by SGS and is shown to release less than 0.01 ppm of ozone into the air. OzoneOn meets American OSHA safety standards.

Does ozone kill good cells too?

+

Antibacterial sanitizers do not differentiate between good and bad bacteria, however, the body normally reproduces good cells to replace those that are lost. By killing bacteria and germs, OzoneOn reduces the risk of infection and disease.

Does ozone cause environmental pollution?

+

No! Ozone is a highly safe and effective oxidizing agent. It leaves behind no residue and it does not cause environmental pollution. Many scientists recommend ozone and call it “nature’s sanitizer.” Unlike other chemical cleaning agents, ozone returns to oxygen very quickly and does not cause a threat to our environment.

How long will OzoneOn last?

+

One OzoneOn system will process 100,000 gallons of water. This is equal to 400,000 10-second rinses, or over 13,000 five-minute rinses.

Will the OzoneOn Eliminate Rat Lungworm Disease?

According to a study by the University of Hawaii at Hilo, the OzoneOn Commercial killed the larvae that cause rat lungworm disease.  More research is needed to confirm the appropriate washing procedure and timeframe. (Steel, A., Platz, M. S., Riglos, A.-J., Garcia, B. J., Jacob, J., & Jarvi, S. I. (2022). LARVICIDAL efficacy of ozone and ultrasound on angiostrongylus cantonensis (rat lungworm) third-stage larvae. Foods, 11(7), 953. https://doi.org/10.3390/foods11070953)

A portion of the test results can be seen in these images.  The larvae was treated with a dye, which causes the areas damaged to shine a bright yellow.

The Dead Control group was treated using methanol and the yellow fluorescence is very prominent, indicating that all of the larvae are dead.

There was no fluorescing in the Untreated group, indicating the larvae were not damaged.

The larvae were also exposed to ozonated water from Cashido’s OzoneOn Commercial for 15 minutes. The fluorescence is very prominent, indicating the larvae was killed.
